Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Project Booster (Brussels), who will lead the roll out of one our programs dedicated to the support of our projects facing specific challenges and difficulties. This program aims to identify the drifts in our projects and to deploy appropriate corrective actions as soon as possible.

In the role of Project Booster, you will lead the deployment of the program and ensure it delivers the expected results (damage control and margin recovery). Your role will involve ensuring the appropriate organizational framework is established and the relevant action plan (operational support, logistics, additional resources, tools, scheduling, claims, etc.) is developed and implemented for each concerned projects, and, if necessary, personally engaging in crisis management.

Your role will also include, on an ad hoc basis, audits and peer reviews of projects during execution phase.


Your main activities:

  • deploy the project support program to address projects facing challenges and financial deviations which include:
    • appointment of a Bug Supervisor
    • establishment of an effective organizational structure for each project, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities are assigned
    • development and execution of a comprehensive and tailored action plan for each project, addressing operational support, logistics, resource allocation, tools, scheduling, claims, and other relevant areas
  • monitor the progress of projects and the implementation of action plans, identifying potential risks, deviations and opportunities, and taking proactive measures to mitigate or capture them
  • actively participate in crisis management, providing hands-on support to project teams and stakeholders to resolve critical issues
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, contract managers, legal and finance professionals, to align strategies and ensure successful project rescue
  • regularly report project status, progress, and challenges to senior management, providing recommendations for improvement and cost control measures
  • identify lessons learned from project rescue efforts and contribute to the development of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives


What do you need to excel in this function?

  • you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equal by experience
  • proven experience in project management, preferably in the construction industry, with relevant experience on project rescue or recovery
  • good knowledge of multitechnical (mechanical, electrical and HVAC) constructions activities
  • solid understanding of financial principles, cost control measures and contract/claim management within a project environment
  • strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and establish cooperative working relationships
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges
  • can-do attitude (hands-on), convincing, strong ethics
  • ability to plan, organize and prioritize, including coordinating with others
  • proactive, taking initiative and a strong sense of responsibility
  • flexibility in workhours and -place, with a minimum presence at the headquarters of Equans Belux
  • willingness to travel when needed
  • fluent in Dutch, French and English
