Equans, based in Haren & Wetteren, is looking for a Sales Manager High- and Medium-Voltage - Substations.

In this role, you will actively seek out customers looking for a technical solution for their medium- and high-voltage installations. You are technically and commercially responsible for developing a strategic marketing strategy, prospecting new customers, and preparing offers aimed at further growing our medium- and high-voltage department.

You will help to write history in the development of the energy transition for the future. You will play a key role in winning projects for the construction or renovation of substations for distribution network operators as well as for various large industrial clients that connect directly to the distribution network 15kV - 380kV.

Furthermore, the department is a market leader in realizing high- and medium-voltage installations in major battery storage projects, solar projects, charging infrastructure projects, and data center projects.

What does this entail?

• you develop a strategy that positions Equans in the current energy transition, focusing on high- and medium-voltage projects
• you create a prospecting plan that develops both internal and external customer relationships and builds a sustainable collaboration
• as Sales Manager, you look for projects ranging from €500k to €15M (specific MV & HV segment)
• you do this with the support of the Department and Section Manager
• you engage in prospecting with new customers and prepare the necessary documentation for preparing and sending offers
• you are a good listener and know how to ask the right questions that lead you to the appropriate solution for our customers. This allows you to achieve your commercial goals
• meeting deadlines and securing new contracts drives you positively to achieve excellent results
• you have sufficient contractual insight to close agreements. Therefore, you not only prepare the offer but also analyze the contract
• you periodically report the achieved KPIs to management

• a bachelor’s/master’s degree in electromechanics or energy; or equivalent experience in an industrial sales role
• knowledge of common Office 365 applications
• knowledge of HV installations is a plus
• very good technical and organizational insight
• in your communication with customers and suppliers, you always think long-term
• you have an eye for opportunities
• you can work both in a team and independently
• you are communicative and results-oriented
• very fluent in Dutch, with a good knowledge of French and English
