As the Ethics & Compliance Officer at Equans Belux, you are responsible for managing the Ethics & Compliance Program of Equans Belux (preventing corruption, conflicts of interest, and more broadly, business and behavioral ethics—the latter in coordination with HR), including conducting internal investigations and managing ethical incidents within Equans Belux, supported by the Ethics Correspondents.
You oversee the deployment of the program within Equans Belux, as well as handle any related issues that may arise, in coordination with relevant departments (General Management, Legal Department, HR, Finance, and Internal Audit).
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer of Equans Belux, you are also responsible for leading a network of Ethics Correspondents.

Zoom on the job:
- develop, implement, and update Equans Belux’s compliance procedures, ensuring alignment with Equans Group’s ethical documentation and applicable laws
- collaborate with relevant business units, divisions, and departments to ensure operational projects comply with ethical guidelines and local/international regulations
- advise management and employees on ethical and compliance issues, providing appropriate guidance
- ensure effective implementation and facilitation of the Ethics Correspondents network
- build a training and awareness program for Equans Belux aligned with risk mappings
- lead and/or supervise internal investigations relating to alleged ethical or compliance breaches, take corrective actions in coordination with relevant departments, and manage Ethics & Compliance alerts where applicable
- prepare and present regular compliance activity reports to company management and relevant authorities
- participate several times a year in ExCom and Management Team meetings and produce requested reports
Are we a match?
- at least 5 years of professional experience in Ethics & Compliance, ideally within a group of similar size and related industries
- legal background with excellent understanding of applicable laws and regulations
- ability to conduct internal investigations in liaison with Internal Audit management and/or external service providers
- proven ability to develop and implement effective compliance programs
- excellent communication and training skills in French and Dutch (English knowledge is a plus), with the ability to deliver modern, engaging formats and mastery of contemporary communication tools
- ability to raise awareness at all organizational levels and drive change
- a strong interpersonal and persuasive communicator
- diplomacy and a high sense of confidentiality with the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
