Equans is looking for a Cyber Security Operations Leader to join our IT team in Brussels within the Cyber Security department. In this role, you’ll oversee key cyber security initiatives, track progress, create reports and ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across IT and business functions and report directly to the MBU CISO BeLux.
Your work location: Brussels
Zoom on the job: 
- manage cyber security programs and projects: plan, schedule, and monitor milestones
- track and close security actions: assign owners, follow up on progress, remove blockers, ensure timely completion
- develop and maintain reporting: report regularly, create dashboards, risk registers, and executive summaries
- compile risk and control evidence: collect artifacts, validate improvements, and prepare audit support materials
- communicate transparently with stakeholders: CISO, security team, IT, and business owners
- follow up on incidents: coordinate remediation actions, lessons learned & tracking
- ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulations
- identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements
Are we a match? 
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in cyber security, information technology, computer science, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in cyber security project management, governance, or operations
- experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Excel, Office 365)
- familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or CIS Controls is a plus
- strong program/project management skills (planning, scheduling, risk management, issue resolution)
- ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language for non-technical stakeholders
- experience in team-oriented and collaborative environments, while taking initiative as a dynamic self-starter
- ability to proactively solve problems and improve processes
- resilience and adaptability in changing environments
- ability to communicate assertively and ensure actions are followed through
- excellent organizational and time-management skills, able to manage multiple workstreams
- fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an advantage
